Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of AppointLane, operated by Datthatreya Bhatt ("AppointLane", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using AppointLane, you agree to these Terms.

Organizations using AppointLane are responsible for their own services, professional advice, schedules, customers, staff access, consent wording, privacy disclosures, retention choices, refund or cancellation policies applicable to their customers, and compliance with laws that apply to their activities.

AppointLane provides scheduling, queue management, communication, payment-connection, and intake software. AppointLane does not provide medical, legal, accounting, financial, or other professional advice.

Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate information, maintain the security of your credentials, keep staff permissions current, and use AppointLane only for lawful purposes.

You must not upload malware, payment-card details into fields not intended for payment processing, passwords, unlawful material, or information that you do not have authority to process. You must not probe, attack, overload, scrape in an abusive manner, reverse engineer where prohibited by law, bypass security controls, interfere with other users, or use AppointLane to facilitate fraud or unlawful activity.

Organizations and customer data

An organization using AppointLane determines what customer information it collects and why. The organization is responsible for establishing an appropriate legal basis, providing required notices, obtaining required consent, responding to its customers' rights, and configuring retention appropriately.

AppointLane processes organization-controlled information as necessary to provide and secure the service, as described in our Privacy Notice.

Bookings, communications, and customer payments

Organizations control their availability, appointments, cancellation rules, communications, pricing, services, and policies applicable to their customers. Queue positions and estimated waiting times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Organizations may connect third-party services such as Stripe, Razorpay, Twilio, email providers, and calendar providers. Use of those services is also subject to the applicable provider's terms.

Payments collected by an organization from its own customers through a connected Stripe, Razorpay, or other payment account are transactions between the organization, its customer, and the relevant payment provider. AppointLane does not store full card details for those transactions.

AppointLane subscriptions and Paddle

Paid AppointLane subscriptions may be sold and processed through Paddle. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for orders processed through Paddle and is responsible for processing the payment, applicable transaction taxes, invoices, payment support, and refunds in accordance with Paddle's applicable buyer terms and policies.

AppointLane remains responsible for providing and supporting the AppointLane software and subscription features you purchase.

Subscription prices, billing periods, currencies, included features, applicable taxes, and renewal terms are displayed before checkout. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, paid subscriptions automatically renew for the same billing period until cancelled.

You may cancel a Paddle subscription through the Paddle buyer portal or other cancellation method made available to you. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless applicable law or Paddle's terms provide otherwise.

Free trial

Where offered, the initial AppointLane trial lasts 14 days unless a different period is displayed when you register. The current trial does not require payment details and does not automatically convert to a paid subscription.

To continue paid access, you must actively choose a plan and complete Paddle checkout. The applicable price, billing period, and renewal terms are displayed before payment.

Referrals

AppointLane may offer referral promotions from time to time. Referral eligibility, reward amounts, discounts, currencies, limits, and qualification requirements are those displayed on the applicable referral page or offer.

A referral code or link must be applied in accordance with the applicable promotion terms. A referral reward may become eligible only after the referred customer's qualifying payment is successfully completed and any stated verification or holding period has expired.

Referral discounts and credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, withdrawn, or exchanged for cash unless AppointLane expressly states otherwise.

We may cancel, reverse, or withhold pending or future referral benefits in cases involving self-referral, duplicate or related accounts, misleading promotion, fraudulent activity, refunds, chargebacks, cancelled or unpaid subscriptions, attempts to manipulate the referral program, or other abuse.

AppointLane may modify or discontinue a referral promotion, but rewards that have already validly vested will not be removed solely because the promotion later ends, except where fraud, abuse, refunds, or chargebacks apply.

Refunds

AppointLane subscription refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, applicable consumer law, and, for transactions processed by Paddle, Paddle's applicable Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.

Refunds for transactions for which Paddle is Merchant of Record are processed through Paddle and must not be paid directly by AppointLane outside Paddle's payment system.

Availability and changes

We work to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that AppointLane will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at a particular time.

We may modify features where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, product development, or third-party service changes. We will seek to avoid materially reducing paid functionality during an existing billing period without reasonable cause.

Data, exports, and backups

Organizations are responsible for maintaining any copies or records independently required by law or their business practices. Available export, deletion, retention, backup, and recovery functionality should be used according to the organization's requirements.

Failure of a subscription payment does not ordinarily result in the immediate deletion of operational history. We may restrict or suspend service following a billing grace period or continued non-payment.

A scheduled cancellation keeps paid access available until the end of the current paid billing period. After the paid subscription has ended, product access is restricted while billing, data export, and early deletion controls remain available. Unless a longer period is required by law or agreed separately, operational data is scheduled for deletion 30 days after paid access ends. Purchasing a new plan before deletion restores access and cancels that scheduled deletion.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using AppointLane and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, security threats, unlawful activity, fraud, abuse, material breach of these Terms, or legal or regulatory requirements.

Following termination, retention and deletion of information will be handled according to our Privacy Notice, applicable product settings, contractual requirements, security requirements, and applicable law.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AppointLane is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee particular business results, customer attendance, appointment volumes, wait times, revenue, or outcomes from using AppointLane.

AppointLane is not responsible for an organization's professional services, advice, treatment, customer decisions, acts or omissions, third-party integrations, internet connectivity, or outages caused by providers outside our reasonable control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AppointLane and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to AppointLane will not exceed the total AppointLane subscription fees actually paid for the affected account during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or statutory rights where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and disputes relating to AppointLane are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply under applicable law.

Subject to any mandatory consumer dispute-resolution rights or jurisdiction provided by applicable law, courts having competent jurisdiction in Udupi District, Karnataka, India will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the use of AppointLane.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms where necessary because of changes to AppointLane, applicable law, payment providers, security requirements, or our business. The effective date above will be updated when the Terms change. Where required by law or appropriate for a material change, we will provide additional notice.
